Split a PowerPoint File Online

Got a 60-slide deck but only need slides 4 to 9 for a client? Drop the file below, pick the slides visually or type a range, and download a clean new PPTX — without ever leaving your browser.

Drag & drop your PowerPoint file here

or click to browse (.pptx files, up to 50MB)

Nothing leaves your device — the entire split happens in your browser's memory, not on a server.

Why use this tool?

Why use this tool?

Pulling slides out of a deck usually means opening PowerPoint, deleting one slide at a time, checking nothing broke, then saving a copy. This tool skips all of that: upload once, click the slides you want (or type a range like "1-3, 5, 8-10"), and get a ready-to-send file. Useful when you only want to share a few slides with a client, need to cut a bloated deck down to size, or are pulling one module out of a training presentation.

How to use it

How to use it

  1. Step 1

    Upload your presentation

Drag your .pptx into the drop area, or click to browse for it.
  2. Step 2

    Pick your slides

Click individual slide thumbnails, or type a range like "1-3, 5, 8-10" into the field.
  3. Step 3

    Extract and download

Click Extract Slides — your new PPTX is built in-browser and ready to download instantly.

How this actually works

The moment you drop in a .pptx file, the tool reads it right there in your browser and tells you how many slides it found, with a thumbnail preview for each one. Click any slide to select or deselect it, use "Select All" / "Deselect All" for speed, or just type a range like "2, 4, 6-9" if you already know what you need. Hit Extract, and a new PPTX gets built from only those slides — download it instantly.

Why nothing gets uploaded

A PPTX file is really just a ZIP archive of XML files under the hood. This tool unzips it directly in your browser, copies over everything except the slides you didn't pick, renumbers the ones you kept, and rebuilds the archive — all without a single byte ever touching a server. That means confidential decks, client pitches, or internal reports stay on your machine the whole time.

Frequently asked questions

Will fonts, images, and slide backgrounds stay intact?

Yes. Only the slide XML files you didn't select get removed — every theme, layout, font, image, and media file the rest of the deck depends on is copied over untouched.

Is my file uploaded or stored anywhere?

No. Processing happens entirely in your browser's memory. Close or refresh the tab and it's gone — there's no server copy to begin with.

What's the file size limit?

Up to 50MB per .pptx file. Larger files are rejected before processing starts, so you'll know right away rather than waiting through an upload.

Do I need an account or sign-up?

No. Drop the file and start selecting slides — there's no login step anywhere in the process.

Can I select slides out of order, like putting slide 10 before slide 2?

The tool keeps your original slide order and renumbers sequentially in the output. If you need a specific new order, select the slides in the order you want them typed in the range field.
